Fiabesque 2006, a Fairy Tales Book Fair

Fiabesque, The Fairy Tales Town, is an event completely dedicated to fairy tales in Peccioli, a small medieval village in Tuscany,
near Pisa (Italy).

Fiabesque is an important event that transforms, for a few days, the small medieval village into a proper Fairy Tales Town.
Thousands of families with children from the whole Tuscany populate the streets of Peccioli during the usually cold, sometimes snowy December Sundays, when Fiabesque takes place, to join the dreamy atmosphere of fairy tales into the amazing scenery of an ancient medieval village that magically turns to a Neverland.
Institutional and cultural meetings and workshops, theatrical and musical shows and a special children’s bookshop, under the aegis of the fairy tales tradition theme, make the event extremely rich and captivating for all audiences.

During the third edition of the event, Fiabesque, The Fairy Tales Town 2006, we would like to realise a small children’s book fair and two competitions specially dedicated to the fairy tales theme.
The first competition will be dedicated to published fairy tales and the second one will be dedicated to unpublished fairy tales, based on a different subject for each new Fiabesque edition.

On this purpose we are contacting children’s book publishers to verify the real children’s book industry interest on this initiative.
